Christian Living Website & Blog for Encouragement and Inspiration

The Christian Life is Out of this World!

Welcome to Made For Heaven, a Christian living website for inspiration and Christian encouragement to help us be victorious. Being saved is only the beginning of our journey! Being disciples, and eventually ambassadors, by emulating our Lord Jesus is our call in this fallen world – which means growing up and becoming mature in Christ Jesus.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:6-7

I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. John 17:13-16

The Christian life is THE Great Adventure!

Becoming disciples of our Lord Jesus is our call in this fallen world — which means growing up and becoming mature in Christ Jesus. The journey of life the world has to offer is no comparison to what God offers through Jesus Christ. But many Christians are not experiencing Christianity in its fullness and richness.

Jesus told his disciples to love one another. He said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” Easier said than done! Christian living in this fallen world is tough. It’s painful, often marked with suffering and challenges everything about the way we see, think, believe and who or what we choose to trust.

Jesus literally turned the world upside down by demolishing the lies and deceptions of this world. He told us to be in the world but not of the world. In his Sermon on the Mount Jesus obliterates religious self-interest and teaches us about selflessness and sacrifice that comes from love. Of course, it got him crucified. And Jesus is calling us to be crucified too — crucified to the world, to our flesh and to the futility of our thinking. The question is, will we? Do we want Jesus? Or, do we only want what he can give us in the way of blessings?

Jesus is our hope and our encouragement.

Jesus said to be of good cheer, that he has overcome the world. May we believe it and live accordingly. After all, we have the mind of Christ — and his heart as well!

Christian Blogs

See the blog of articles on living the Christian life and maturing in Christ, specifically in our relationships to one another. The blog topics challenge us to live in the Light and surrender to Jesus. Jesus told us it wouldn’t be easy to be a disciple, and that is why he wants us to encourage and exhort one another in his love.

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
